Why does the booking engine only show Saturdays available?
Villa Hippocampo is rented from Saturdays to Saturdays only. So Check out is on Saturdays at 11am and check in is on Saturday at 4pm. We can make exceptions when available, please email hello@villahippocampo.com for inquiries.
What is the minimum stay requirement?
The minimum stay requirement varies based on the season.
Peak season: A minimum stay of 2 weeks is required.
Off-peak season: A minimum stay of 1 week applies.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-In: 4 pm Saturday
Check-Out: 11 am Saturday
We kindly ask that you adhere to these times to allow for proper cleaning and preparation for the next guests. If you require a late check-out or early check-in, please contact us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate based on availability.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 56 days (8 weeks) or more before arrival will result in a forfeited deposit.
Cancellations made less than 56 days (8 weeks) before arrival or due to non-payment will be subject to the full cost of the booking.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, as refunds will not be provided outside the stated policy.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes, a refundable security deposit is required to cover the cost of any damage or breakage to or at, or loss from the property, any additional cleaning, and the cost of other services/utilities that are not included in the rental price.
What is included in the rental price?
The rental fee includes:
Accommodation for up to 8 guests
Utilities (water, electricity, Wi-Fi)
Housekeeping service ( twice weekly)
Concierge services
Are pets allowed?
No. We love pets but the villa is not suitable for them. There are no obvious “pet relief” areas on any of the villa levels or on the street in the neighborhood. Additionally, several of our regular guests are allergic to pets.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the villa. Designated outdoor smoking areas may be available.
How many guests can stay at the villa?
The number of guests is limited to those registered at the time of booking (8).
Are children allowed?
Yes, children are welcome, but adult supervision is required at all times, especially around the pool and outdoor areas.

What is the payment policy?
A deposit of 30% is required to secure the booking.
The remaining balance is due 60 days before arrival.
The balance can be made via bank transfer.
Is there daily housekeeping?
Housekeeping services are provided 2 times per week. Additional cleaning services can be arranged for an extra fee.
What happens if there is damage to the property?
Guests are responsible for any damages incurred during their stay. Costs for repairs or replacements will be deducted from the security deposit.
Is travel insurance recommended?
Yes, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies, or travel disruptions.
